Over the past few years many enthusiastic artists have visited Brush-Strokes to enjoy and paint the beautiful surroundings of Snowdonia, in North Wales.For 2008, we have another exciting programme of painting breaks, and we are sure you will find a course to suit you, whether you are a beginner, an experienced artist, or just a little rusty.

This year's visiting tutors include Carole Baker, Peter Cronin, John Palmer, Colin Radcliffe, Paul Weaver, and Judi Whitton, all of whom will gently lead you to a more enjoyable result in whichever medium you like to paint. We are sure you will find a course to suit you, whether you are a beginner, an experienced artist, or just a little rusty, and with groups kept small everyone will receive individual attention from the tutor.
The courses are centred in our comfortable studio, a converted chapel, in the village of Dolwyddelan near Betws-y-Coed, North Wales, UK.

Here there are wonderful painting opportunities, many within a short walk of the studio - mountains, lakes, rivers, waterfalls, interesting cottages, and even a local castle - all with magical light, which is forever changing.

Brush-Strokes Studio
Inspired by the spectacular scenery of the Snowdonia National Park, Ann and Chris moved to Dolwyddelan in 1999 to set up Brush-Strokes.

Ann, being the resident artist, runs several of the courses herself, and is always on hand with the visiting tutors to help make sure that everyone is enjoying themselves.

She was taught for many years by the well known artist Carlo Sdoya who had served his apprenticeship under the famous artists Ballerini and Bargellini in his native Italy.

Ann and Chris, with the tutor and any non-painting partners, join the groups for a relaxed evening, chatting over supper in one of the many local pubs and restaurants.
