DOLWYDDELAN

Dolwyddelan [Pronounced Doll-with-ellan] is a delightful village, 5 miles from Betws-y-Coed, in the beautiful Lledr valley surrounded by woodlands and situated in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, yet easily accessible by road or by train. The village station, which connects to the main line and rest of the country via Llandudno Junction, is within a short walk of the studio and the local hotel.

Dolwyddelan has its own castle, a fifteenth century church, a picturesque bridge over the river which runs through the village, and many other locations and landscapes within a short distance, often with a beautiful backdrop of mountains. Click here to see a map of our location

For non painting partners there are numerous leisure activities available, including golf, fishing, walking, horse riding, pony trekking, canoeing and, for the really adventurous, mountain climbing.

ACCOMMODATION

We will book, on your behalf, comfortable local accommodation to suit your individual requirements. The cost of accommodation is not included in the course fee due to the varying requirements of each guest.

COURSE FEES

Course fees cover all tutoring, unlimited use of the studio and facilities, a light lunch, and a bottomless tea and coffee pot.

COURSE TIMES

The courses start in the studio around 9.30 each morning, and then continue inside and on location.

Ann and Chris, with the tutor and any non-painting partners, join the groups for a relaxed evening, chatting over supper in one of the many local pubs and restaurants.
However those who prefer to continue in the studio, or follow their own wishes, are of course free to do so.
